• Communications: When you contact us for support, we collect the information you provide in those communications.

Information We Collect Automatically

• Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our app, including features used, time spent, and actions taken.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
• Log Data: Error reports, performance data, and diagnostic information.
• Activity Status: Whether you currently have the app open and when you were last active. People you message can see this as "Active now" or "Active 5m ago".

Sophia's replies and custom study paths are written by Claude, an AI model provided by Anthropic, PBC. Before your first conversation, the app asks for your permission to share the following with Anthropic, and nothing is sent until you agree:

• What you write to Sophia, and your recent conversation with her
• Topics you ask Sophia to build a study path about
• Your first name and the interests on your profile
• What you are studying, your learning streak, and Sophia's memory notes from past conversations

Anthropic processes this information only to generate Sophia's responses on our behalf and does not use it to train its AI models. We store your Sophia conversations and memory notes with your account so you can return to them; you can view or clear Sophia's memory in Sophia settings, and deleting your account deletes them.

You can withdraw permission at any time by turning off "AI data sharing" in Sophia settings. Sophia's chat will ask again before anything else is sent. Sophia is an AI and can make mistakes; she is not a substitute for pastoral, medical, legal, or professional advice.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our services
• Personalize your experience and show relevant content
• Process transactions and send related notifications
• Send you updates, security alerts, and support messages
• Respond to your comments, questions, and customer service requests
• Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and other illegal activities
• Protect the rights and safety of our users and others

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following situations:

• With Your Consent: We may share information when you give us permission to do so.
• Service Providers: We work with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, analytics, and customer support.
• AI Provider: With your permission, Sophia shares the information described above with Anthropic to generate responses.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal requests.
• Safety and Security: We may share information to protect the safety of our users and enforce our policies.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
